Vehicle Storage When You Need Time to Figure Things Out

Sometimes you can't deal with your car problem right away.

Maybe you got in an accident and the car's not drivable but you need to wait for insurance to sort things out. Maybe your engine blew and you need time to save up for repairs. Maybe you're going out of town and don't want to leave a broken car sitting in your driveway.

We've got a secure lot where we can store your vehicle for as long as you need. It's fenced, it's locked, and we keep an eye on it.

Storage gives you breathing room to figure out your next move without feeling rushed. You can talk to mechanics, get quotes, deal with insurance companies, whatever you need to do. Your car's safe with us while you work all that out.

We've stored cars for a few days, a few weeks, even a few months. People use our lot for all kinds of reasons. Sometimes life gets complicated and you just need a safe place to keep your car until you can sort everything out.

Why People Need Vehicle Storage

After an accident, your car might not be safe to drive but insurance needs time to send an adjuster to look at it. You can't just leave it on the street or in a random parking lot. It needs to go somewhere secure until the claim gets processed.

When your car needs expensive repairs, you might not have the money right away. The engine's blown or the transmission's shot and fixing it costs thousands. You need time to save up or figure out if it's even worth repairing. Meanwhile your car has to sit somewhere.

Some people are dealing with legal stuff. Maybe there's a dispute about who's responsible for damage. Maybe the car's part of an estate and things need to get sorted out first. The car needs to stay somewhere safe while all that gets handled.

If you're traveling for work or going away for a while, you don't want a broken car sitting in your driveway looking abandoned. Neighbors complain, the city might tag it, or someone might mess with it. Better to have it stored properly.

Sometimes people just need time to decide what to do. Is it worth fixing or should you sell it for parts? Should you try to trade it in or donate it? You need time to think and get advice without feeling pressure to make a quick decision.

How Long You Can Store Your Car

Some people only need storage for a few days. Their insurance adjuster's coming next week or their mechanic can take the car on Monday. Short term storage handles those situations.

Other people need weeks or months. They're saving up for repairs or waiting for parts that are back ordered or dealing with complicated insurance or legal stuff. Long term storage works for that.

We're flexible about timing. You don't have to know exactly how long you'll need storage when you bring your car in. Things change and we get that. Just let us know when you're ready to pick it up or have it moved somewhere else.

Storage After Accidents

This is probably the most common reason people use our storage.

Your car got hit and it's not safe to drive. The frame might be bent or the suspension's damaged or something's leaking. You had it towed from the accident scene but now it needs somewhere to sit while insurance handles everything.

The adjuster needs to come look at it and write up an estimate. That might take a few days or a couple weeks depending on how backed up they are.

Then insurance decides if they're gonna repair it or total it. If they're repairing it, the body shop might not have room for it right away. Your car waits in storage until they can take it.

If insurance totals it, you might need time to figure out what to do with it. Sell it to a salvage yard, sell it private, donate it - whatever you decide, the car can stay in storage while you work through those options.

Storage While You Deal With Repairs

Big repairs cost big money. When a mechanic tells you it's gonna be three or four thousand to fix your car, you probably don't have that just sitting in your bank account.

You need time to get the money together. Maybe you're waiting on your next paycheck. Maybe you need to save up over a few weeks. Maybe you're trying to get a loan.

Your car can't just sit at the mechanic's shop taking up space while you figure out payment. Most shops don't have room for that. But it can sit in our storage lot while you get your finances sorted.

Some repairs take forever because parts are hard to find or back ordered. Older cars especially - sometimes you're waiting weeks for a specific part to come in. Storage keeps your car safe during that wait.

Getting Your Car In and Out

When you need storage, we tow your car to our lot and drop it off. You don't have to bring it yourself.

We write down everything about your car - make, model, color, any damage that's already there. You get a copy of that paperwork for your records.

When you're ready to get your car back, just call us. We can have it ready for pickup or we can tow it somewhere else for you. Maybe it's going to a mechanic now that you've got the money for repairs. Maybe it's going to a body shop because insurance approved the work. Maybe you're picking it up yourself because you fixed it or sold it.

Whatever the next step is, we handle getting your car there.

Your Car Stays In the Same Condition

We're not driving your car around or moving it unless we need to. It sits in one spot the whole time it's here.

When you get it back, it's in the same condition you left it. If it was damaged from an accident, that damage is still there but nothing new happened to it. If it had a blown engine, it still has a blown engine but nothing else went wrong.

Storage just buys you time. It doesn't fix anything but it doesn't make anything worse either. Your car waits safely while you handle whatever needs handling.
