Towing Services for Every Situation You Might Face

When most people think about towing, they picture a broken down car getting dragged somewhere. And yeah, that's part of it. But towing is way bigger than that.

It's moving a car that won't run to a place where it can get fixed. It's getting a vehicle out of a spot where it shouldn't be. It's transporting something safely from point A to point B when driving it there isn't an option.

We've towed cars with dead batteries, blown engines, flat tires, transmission problems, and overheated radiators. We've moved vehicles after accidents, after breakdowns, and when people just needed to get their car somewhere else without driving it. Every situation is different. Every car needs something specific. That's why we've got different trucks and different equipment for different jobs.

How Towing Actually Works

When you call for a tow, we send a truck to where your car is. The driver figures out the best way to load your vehicle based on what's wrong with it and where it's sitting.

For most regular cars with engine problems or dead batteries, we use a wheel lift. It slides under either the front or back of your car and lifts those wheels off the ground. The other end rolls behind the truck.

For cars that can't roll or have transmission issues, we use a flatbed. Your whole car gets loaded onto the back of the truck. All four wheels come off the ground and your car just sits there like it's parked.

The driver secures your car with straps and chains so nothing moves during transport. Then we drive to wherever you need your car to go - your mechanic, a body shop, your house, wherever.

When People Need Towing

The most common reason is breakdowns. Something stops working and your car won't drive anymore. Could be your engine, your transmission, your electrical system - doesn't matter. If it won't move, it needs a tow.

Accidents are another big one. Even small crashes can damage a car enough that you can't drive it away. We tow accident vehicles to body shops or to storage lots while insurance sorts things out.

Some people buy cars that don't run. Project cars, cars they got for cheap that need work, vehicles they inherited that have been sitting for years. Those all need towing to get them home or to a shop.

Sometimes a car just needs to get moved from one place to another and driving it isn't an option. Maybe you're moving and have two cars but can only drive one. Maybe you don't want to put miles on a car you just bought.

Different Vehicles Need Different Approaches

Regular cars are pretty straightforward to tow. Sedans, compact cars, most SUVs - they're all similar in how we handle them.

Sports cars and lowered vehicles need extra care because they sit so close to the ground. We usually use flatbeds for those to avoid scraping the undercarriage.

All-wheel drive vehicles have to be towed with all four wheels off the ground or you can damage the drivetrain. That means flatbed towing.

Big trucks and RVs need our heavy duty equipment. They weigh too much for regular tow trucks to handle safely.

Loading Your Car Safely

The driver walks around your car first to see what they're working with. They check what's damaged, what position it's in, if the wheels turn.

Then they position the truck and get the equipment ready. For a flatbed, they lower the bed and either drive your car on or use the winch to pull it up.

For a wheel lift, they back up close, slide the yoke under the right spot, and lift it up.

Everything gets strapped down tight so nothing shifts. The driver double checks all the connections before they start driving.

Good loading means your car gets to where it's going in the same condition it started in. No new scratches, no new dents, nothing broken that wasn't already broken.

Towing Gets You Unstuck

When your car won't move and you need it somewhere else, towing solves that problem.

You're not stuck on the side of the road anymore. Your car's not sitting in a parking lot where it's not supposed to be. It's getting moved to a place where someone can fix it or where you can deal with it when you're ready.

That's what towing does. It moves your car when you can't drive it there yourself.
