The Different Ways We Tow Your Vehicle
Not all tows are the same. Your car might need something totally different than what the next person needs.
Flatbed Towing
This is when we load your whole car onto the back of a flat truck bed. All four wheels come off the ground. Your car just sits there on the truck like it's parked.
We use flatbeds for cars that can't roll. If your transmission's shot or your brakes are locked up or you've got an all-wheel drive system that'll get damaged if we tow it with the wheels down, you need a flatbed.
I remember towing a guy's BMW last year. He had transmission problems and was real worried about his car getting messed up during the tow. We used a flatbed. His car sat on that truck bed like it was sitting in his garage. Zero damage, zero problems.
Flatbeds are also good for cars that are really low to the ground. Sports cars, lowered vehicles, anything where a regular tow might scrape the bumper or undercarriage.
Wheel Lift Towing
This is the kind of tow where we lift either the front or back wheels off the ground and the other end rolls behind the truck.
It works great for regular cars when the problem isn't with the wheels or transmission. Engine won't start? Wheel lift will work fine. Battery's dead? Wheel lift gets the job done.
Our trucks have hydraulic lifts that slide under your car and pick it up gentle. No jerking, no yanking, no drama. Just a smooth lift and you're ready to roll.
Heavy Duty Towing
Some vehicles need more muscle to move them.
Big trucks, RVs, commercial vehicles, anything that weighs more than a regular car - that's when we bring out the heavy duty equipment.
We towed a landscaping truck last summer that was loaded with equipment and broke down on a job site. Regular tow truck wouldn't have been able to handle the weight. Our heavy duty truck got it loaded up and moved without breaking a sweat.
